My Daughter had her 5th Birthday in May (that tells you how long it took me to post these!), and she wanted a “Rock Star” Party. Not exactly what I expected, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. We searched for lots of Rock Star Party ideas, with no real success, so we ended up coming up with a few of our own ideas which included: Microphones made out of toilet paper rolls that wrapped in colorful duct tape and we hot glued painted black ping pong balls on top (sorry, I don’t have pics!). Those turned out pretty cute. Then we just had “open mic”, with a microphone and I put on a “Disney Children’s” radio station on Pandora. Oh, and all the kids were invited to wear “Rock Star” attire… they all looked so cute!
The free printable invitations that I made are just black and white, and I printed them out on Neon colored paper (I am all about ink friendly printables). My daughter also embellished the stars with a glitter glue pen which added a little pizzazz to them.
I am also including with these free printables, 2 pages of printable Star cutouts. We used these on our “stage” backdrop, which worked for a really cute mini photo booth too. All I used was a black tablecloth from the dollar store and the stars, super simple… The stars would also work cute for mini bunting or a garland.
